reSolve: Mathematics by Inquiry is an Australian government funded project to enhance the mathematics engagement and achievement of students from Years F to 10 using inquiry-oriented approaches to learning. The project emphasises mathematical purpose, challenge and inclusion for all, and the establishment of supportive knowledge-building cultures. This hands-on workshop explores two reSolve tasks aimed at students in Years 4 to 8, one focused on Number & Algebra and the second on Geometry. Participants will look at how one task can be modified to target curriculum content at different year levels. Implications for differentiation in the mathematics classroom will be considered.
